SUMMARY:Creating a Culture of Care Virtual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Creating a Culture of Care Virtual Conference \nThe Action Alliance is hosting a two-day virtual conference; Creating a Culture of Care: Putting Trauma-Informed Principles Into Practice this year on Wednesday\, May 11th and May 18th from 9:30AM-5:00PM EST. This conference will dive deep into SAMHSA’s Six Key Principles of a Trauma-Informed Approach and how we can actively implement these principles into our organizational cultures and practices. During the conference there will be six plenary sessions\, one dedicated to each trauma-informed principle\, and breakout workshops that will focus on implementing these principles within our Survivor Advocacy Practices\, Agency Practices\, and Prevention Practices. \nAttendees need to plan to attend both days. \nMay 11 will focus on Safety\, Peer Support\, and Empowerment\, Voice\, and Choice Principals.
