DESCRIPTION:We’re thrilled that you’ve decided to join us for our annual Legislative Advocacy Day on Wednesday\, February 2nd\, 2022!  It’s always an amazing experience to see survivors\, advocates\, and movement partners roaming the (virtual and physical) halls of the General Assembly\, lifting the voices of survivors and advocating for policies that seek to respond to and prevent violence in our communities.   \nPolicy leaders want to hear from you\, the advocacy experts\, about how investments in primary prevention\, reducing workplace/sexual harassment\, and expanding best practices in trauma-informed and healing-centered responses to violence can save lives and help to create a Virginia where all families and individuals can fully thrive. Your voice as an advocacy expert is critical to ensuring that Virginia policy works for all survivors and all communities!  \nIf you plan to attend Legislative Advocacy Day in person\, we ask that you only do so if you are fully vaccinated + boostered and that you practice safe masking and distancing as able. If you can’t make it in-person for Legislative Advocacy Day\, don’t worry\, we’ll send you everything you need to participate in virtual legislative actions that are happening statewide! Just make sure you select “Virtual Legislative Advocacy ONLY” in your registration choice.  \nPlease note that scheduling visits with your legislators is done on your own and in advance!
