DESCRIPTION:We hold monthly Office Hours each month for participants in each of our three virtual training modules: Principles of Primary Prevention\, Advocacy Core Training\, and Trauma\, Justice\, and Oppression. These Office Hours are a space for participants to connect with each other and a technical assistance (TA) provider/trainer from the Action Alliance staff and Training Institute Faculty. Attending at least one Office Hour session is required to receive your course completion certificate. DESCRIPTION:This two-part series is intended for attorneys\, prosecutors\, advocates\, law enforcement and other professionals that work with survivors of intimate partner violence who are impacted by cyberstalking and harassment. The series will provide an overview of abuse and stalking dynamics\, map out the legal landscape impacting victims of cyberstalking and harassment\, and provide resources\, guidance and tools for professionals assisting survivors impacted by cyberstalking and harassment.  \nThe first segment will be presented by Jay Sinha\, Counsel\, Global Operations and Compliance\, of Verizon Enterprise Solutions and Caitlin Bradley\, the Legal Director for the Project for the Empowerment of Survivors at the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance.  \nThe second segment will include an expert panel discussion featuring Eva Galperin\, Director of Cybersecurity at Electronic Frontier Foundation; Tara Hairston\, Head of Government Relations and Public Affairs\, North America at Kaspersky; and Samantha Davison\, Head of Trust Engineering at Robinhood. SUMMARY:State and Local Partners Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This is the second of the 2021 series of State and Local Partners Meetings. Though COVID-19 has forced us into a virtual environment\, we aren’t letting it keep us from holding space together to share resources\, information\, advice\, concerns\, or successes. Our June meeting will be hosted by the Latinos in VA Empowerment Center and Abuse Alternatives\, who will be sharing their work on supporting Spanish-speaking survivors. We are especially grateful to the LIVE Center for making Spanish-English interpretation available for this meeting.
