DESCRIPTION:Hey advocates! Know an Attorney who’d be interested in learning more about Trauma-Informed Lawyering? We’ll discuss trauma and its impact on survivors and attorneys as well as explore how to respond to clients using a trauma-informed approach. \nThis two-part series is geared towards lawyers working with survivors. It will be hosted virtually on July 8th and July 15th from 12-1pm. The event is CLE pending. Training lawyers to be trauma informed in their approach will lead to improved services for survivors. Lawyers will also gain an increased understanding of trauma and its impact on individuals and themselves. \n**Event is CLE pending. You must put in your Bar Number in order to get CLE credits.**

Throughout this two-part series\, we‘ll walk you through best practices\, tools\, and resources to help you do just that. You’ll even have an opportunity to put these new skills into practice and receive feedback or assistance with current projects you’re creating. \nPart I: Accessible Design\nThursday\, July 14th\, 1PM – 3PM \nDuring this session\, we will walk you through best practices for creating designs that are accessible. The colors\, fonts\, and layouts you use can all have an important impact on whether or not your design is truly able to get your message to your audience. \nYou will also have an opportunity to create your own design\, with an opportunity to receive feedback during this session. \nPart II: Trauma-Informed and Inclusive Design\nThursday\, July 21\, 1PM – 3PM \nPart two of this series will dive into your organization’s values and how those values can be incorporated into designs to create pieces that will resonate with your target audience. You will also receive resources to help you find elements to use in future designs. \nThere will also be an opportunity for you to share your organization’s values simply through the use of visuals. \nMembers may attend this for free; $25.00 for each session or $40 if you register for both for non members.
