The Peace Begins at Home specialty license plate is Virginia’s only license plate dedicated to funding the prevention of sexual and domestic violence. Each plate purchased directly supports the Building Healthy Futures Fund (BHFF), which was created to establish a statewide, sustainable revenue source for local Sexual & Domestic Violence Agencies (SDVAs) to implement evidence-informed prevention programming that addresses the root causes of sexual and intimate partner violence. Launched in 2011 by the Action Alliance in partnership with member SDVAs, BHFF provides communities across Virginia a way to invest collectively in safer, healthier futures for everyone.
