The Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance strengthens the Commonwealth’s response to sexual and intimate partner violence through prevention, advocacy, and collective action. We work alongside survivors, communities, and professionals to create a safer, more just Virginia, one where relationships are healthy and communities can thrive.
What We Do
Supporting communities in transforming the root causes of violence through education, primary prevention strategies, youth engagement, and statewide campaigns that center equity and healing.
Advancing survivor-centered policies at the local, state, and federal levels. We monitor emerging issues, collaborate with partners, and advocate for laws and funding that strengthen safety, justice, and opportunities for all Virginians.
Offering skill-building trainings, technical assistance, and professional development for advocates, preventionists, healthcare providers, educators, and community leaders working to end violence.
Providing the Commonwealth’s most comprehensive data on sexual and domestic violence services. VAdata helps programs, policymakers, and communities understand emerging trends, improve services, and support informed decision-making.
