The Peace Begins at Home license plate is Virginia’s only license plate to directly fund programs around the state that work to prevent sexual and intimate partner violence before it happens. Proceeds from the sale of each license plate (new or renewals) go to our Building Healthy Futures Fund. This fund was created to establish a statewide revenue source for local sexual and domestic violence agencies to implement evidence-informed prevention programming to disrupt the interpersonal and social conditions that give rise to sexual and intimate partner violence. For just $25.00 per year, you can be a part of the growing movement to end sexual and intimate partner violence statewide.

The RISE Fund supports our member sexual and domestic violence agencies in times of disaster. In the wake of many natural and manmade disasters and with the understanding that disasters of various types are likely to happen in the future, the Action Alliance Governing Body established The Rise Fund in order to be more prepared to support our 70+ sexual and domestic violence agencies when these situations as they arise.

This Fund and associated forms of the Organizational Disaster Preparedness Checklist were established to ensure that the Action Alliance has a process in place, along with a fund reserve, to respond quickly and effectively whenever disasters impact survivors and the agencies that serve them statewide.
