Legislative Advocacy Day

Each winter, advocates, survivors, and activists from around the state gather in Richmond, VA to speak up for survivor rights and policies that support healthy and thriving relationships and communities. Each and every voice is important. We encourage you to join us in person or advocate by email, phone, and social media as we inform legislators about the issues that matter most to survivors and advocates statewide!

Our last Legislative Advocacy Day was held on February 2, 2023. Learn more on our Legislative Advocacy Day page.

Legislative Advocacy 101 Primer

General Assembly Session

Each year the Action Alliance works with our Public Policy Committee, membership, partners, and allies to develop a legislative agenda outlining our priority issues during the upcoming General Assembly Session. Our priority issue areas are determined in November-December with a legislative agenda released in early January.
