Legislative Advocacy Day

Each January, advocates, survivors, and activists from around the state gather in Richmond, VA to speak up for survivor rights and policies that support healthy and thriving relationships and communities. Each and every voice is important. We encourage you to join us in person or advocate by email, phone, and social media as we inform legislators about the issues that matter most to survivors and advocates statewide!

Legislative Advocacy Day is typically held in January and registration opens in November/December. Visit our Upcoming Events page for registration details.

Each year the Action Alliance works with our Public Policy Committee, membership, partners, and allies to develop a legislative agenda outlining our priority issues during the upcoming General Assembly Session. Our priority issue areas are determined in November-December with a legislative agenda released in early January.
